The Perfect Holiday Hair Tutorials
Step 1: Gather a section of hair from the top/center of your head.
Step 2: Give it a little back-combing to add some texture and volume.
Step 3 + 4: Take a piece of fabric and fold in half one or two times to make it thicker. Note: The fabric I used was 4.5 x 4.5 inches and then doubled over to make it thicker. Begin wrapping the hair around it like a curler.
Step 5: Continue rolling the hair until you reach the scalp. Pin in place.
Step 6: Add random braids throughout to add a little extra character.

Big Booty Bouffant Hair Tutorials
I love this Big Booty Bouffant hair tutorial … here’s what you will need to create this look yourselves.
♥ BG Clip in Hair Booty
♥ Backcombing brush
♥ Sectioning comb
♥ Sectioning clip
♥ Hairspray
♥ Bobbypins
♥ Hair straighteners/ Curling tongs
Step One:
Firstly, you need to fit the Hair Booty hair extension to help achieve a big bouffant to rival Brigitte Bardot’s! You need to take a section from the front of your hair to pull back over the Hair Booty once it has been fitted. Like you can see in the pics above, if you have a fringe like me, take the section from behind your fringe. If not, begin so you are in line with your temple. Take a section about 2cm wide to cover the Booty.
Step Two:
Take the sectioned hair and secure with a sectioning clip to keep it out of the way whilst you are fitting your Hair Booty.
Step Three:
Now you need to fit your Hair Booty, the trick here is to put the Booty quite high up on your head as it creates a much bigger and more voluminous bouffant. So the clips of the Booty will be fitted on to the top of your head, with some falling around your crown area. Now, if you’re wanting a super duper bouffant you could always backcomb your hair before you fit the Booty. If you don’t want oodles of volume, you can skip this step … totally up to you.
Step Four:
Once you have your Booty fitted you then need to un-clip the section that you sectioned off in step 1. This will be pulled over to cover the Hair Booty. Backcomb this section a little and spritz with hairspray to ensure all of it is covered.
Step Five:
Pull all of your hair over to one side and secure in place with bobby pins. The side you choose is completely up to you; generally the same side as your fringe works best.
Step Six:
Then if you have a fringe, you need to pull this over and secure neatly with a bobby pin. If you don’t have a fringe you can just pull a section of hair to the side and secure it with a bobby pin too … it should still look the same.
Step Seven:
Next you need to take your hair straighteners or curling tongs, whichever you prefer, and carefully add a few curls throughout the ends of your hair. Be sure to start the curl from the mid-lengths of your hair to achieve that classical look!

HOLIDAY HAIR TUTORIAL
I love getting dressed up for holiday parties. A black dress, lipstick, and a pretty collar/accessory is my go-to outfit, especially if I'm not quite sure how dressy I should be. This hairstyle is perfect for that too, it looks like you did your hair but since it looks best with some natural texture and flyaways, it doesn't looktoo dressy either. You can hide your bobby pins or let them show, and it also looks good with colored bobby pins like all gold or silver.
1. Start with your natural hair texture, preferably a day dirty (or fake dirty) and spray a light hairspray all over your hair
2. Part your hair down the middle and divide it into two sections.
3. Using a wide-toothed comb, lightly backcomb each section all the way through to your ends. This will make it easier to pin and manipulate your hair.
4. Wrap one section over to the other side of your head so it's hugging your head.
5. Pin it behind your ears by making an X with two bobby pins.
6. Continue wrapping and pinning around the top of your head until you run out of hair.
7. Take your other section and wrap it in the opposite direction pinning every few inches.
8. Pin it over the top of your head overlapping your last section
9. Pin any pieces that are bunching up weird, the key is to maintain a pretty head shape.

Three twisted buns
1. This style is so easy, it's laughable. Day-old hair is best (which is true for most hairstyles, since it's easier to work with hair that has a little dirt in it).
2. Divide your hair into three equal parts and quickly spray each section with a little hairspray to help give it hold. Let the hairspray set for a couple seconds, and then lightly comb it out.
3. Take the section on your right side, and twist your hair all the way down to the end. You want to twist counter-clockwise, toward your face. Wrap the right section in on itself, just like you're making a little bun. Let some of the hair stick out, it's ok (you don't want them to look like Princess Leia buns).
4. Pin the right bun in place. I like to use these mini bobby pins, since they're easier to hide and they're coated in rubber so they hold your hair better.
5. Next, twist the middle section clockwise and pin. Then twist the left section clockwise and pin.
6. Spray the three buns with a little more hairspray, and you're done!

Twisted Half Up and Half Down Hair Tutorials
So this week I have a twisted half up and half down hair tutorial to show you all which I think is super cute and perfect for the party season coming up as well as being perfect for day wear too! I will be curling my hair with hair straighteners for this tutorial however if you’re a little unsure of this technique you can create the same look withcurling tongs.
What you will need:
♥ Hair brush
♥ Bobby pins
♥ Hair straighteners
♥ Hair spray
Step One:
After brushing through your hair to get rid of any tangles you need to curl all of your hair to add some texture and volume. I think the curls help give this hair style that ‘wow’ factor. Be sure to curl throughout the mid-lengths and ends of your hair, the top doesn’t really matter as the twists will cover this.
Step Two:
So once you have curled your hair we can move on to the twists! This bit is super easy and will literally take you 5 minutes IF that. Take a small section from the front of your hair and twist, pull back and over your curls and secure in place at the back of your head with some bobbypins.
Step Three:
Repeat this on the other side of your hair too!
And there you have it. Your twist and curls hairstyle is complete in just 3 steps
… This hairstyle would also look great on second day curls if you are looking for an alternative hairdo’ the day after curling your hair ♥

The Braided Chignon
I know this updo looks super polished and ornate, but before you go running for the hills let me assure you that it actually stays very true to our Pretty Simple series… if you can make a regular braid, you can recreate this look. You guys should have seen Martha Lynn styling this one – our jaws were all dropped to the floor in collective disbelief of how easy it was, and how beautifully it turned out. I’m so glad that Cory Ryan was there capturing the instructions each step of the way, because I’m sensing that this look is going to be my new go-to (with my first at-bat being for date night tonight). Follow the jump for instructions!
- Separate hair into three sections, parting from the ears forward, and then down the middle in the back. Make two braids with the back sections and tie off with elastics.
- Create desired part in front section, and separate as pictured.
- Twist back one of the front sections.
- Wrap around back and secure with a bobby pin.
- For longer hair, continue to wrap the twist across the back of the head in a figure-8 shape. Secure with bobby pins.
- Repeat steps 3 to 5 with other front section.
- Take one long braid and fold in half.
- Fold again across head, and secure with bobby pins.
- Repeat steps 7 & 8 with second long braid.
