Alright, so it’s no secret that I like to wear makeup, but during the summer months, I prefer a more natural look.
The only problem is, my pores are uncharacteristically big, my skin is pasty, and my eyebrows are really wonky, so going au naturel isn’t an option.
Ever.
It just wouldn’t be fair to the children, you know?
But showing up with a completely made-up face at summer camp drop-off every morning doesn’t go over so well with the other moms, so I’ve spent the last couple of nights teaching myself how to get that ‘no makeup makeup’ look we all know and love, and I’m really happy with the results. Not only does it take me half the time it normally does to get ready in the mornings, but I’ve learned a lot of great techniques and found some great products that let my skin breath better when it’s hot and humid outside.
Oh, and the moms are summer camp are MUCH nicer to me these days.
Go figure!

I love how smooth and natural Jaclyn’s skin looks, and I am on my way out to buy the Perricone MD No Bronzer Bronzer and the Benefit Gimme Brow products as soon as the dinner dishes are done tonight!
2. ‘NO MAKEUP’ Makeup Tutorial! by Lauren Curtis
I love that Lauren uses all Rimmel products for this tutorial (who DOESN’T love drug store products??!), I think the finished look is fabulous, and I am so excited that she’s one of the judges for the 2014 Girlfriend Rimmel Model Search!
3. My ‘No Makeup, Makeup’ Look! QUICK & EASY! by Carli Bybel
If you watch Carli’s tutorials often, you know she prefers a very made-up face, which is what makes this tutorial so awesome. It’s very natural, and she does a great job of breaking the steps down for an amateur like myself!
4. Natural Looking Makeup Tutorial by Michelle Phan
As of the time I wrote this post (July 27, 2014), this tutorial had over 10.5 MILLION views, so I think it goes without saying that this is a fantastic post to teach you how to get the “no makeup makeup” look we all love!
5. The No-Makeup Look Makeup Tutorial by sephora
