Fishtail Sidebraid

Fishtail Sidebraid

  1. Step 1: Begin with clean, dry hair in its natural texture and part your hair the way that you want it for the hairstyle.
  2. Steps 2 & 3: Take a 2-3 inch section from the front of your hair and braid it.
  3. Step 4: Wrap the braid to the back of your head and pin in place.
  4. Steps 5 & 6: Do the same thing to the other side of your hair.
  5. Steps 7 & 8: Pull all of your hair to one side and begin fishtail braiding.
  6. Step 9: Secure the end of the braid with an elastic.

OH SO SWEET AND SIMPLE HALF UP + HALF DOWN UPDO.

OH SO SWEET AND SIMPLE HALF UP + HALF DOWN UPDO.

Step 1: Begin with your hair in either it’s natural texture, or curled. I decided to curl my hair to make the look a little more romantic.
Step 2: Part your hair how you want it and section off a 1-2 inch section starting at the beginning of the part down to the ear.
Steps 3 & 4: Pin the section behind your ear using a bobby pin.
Step 5: Section off the top 1/3 of your hair, being careful not to ruin the section you just pinned.
Step 6: Using a boar bristle brush, tease this section of hair.
Step 7: Smooth the top of the hair and pull it back.
Step 8: Tie the section off with an elastic.
Step 9: Take a 1 inch section out of bottom of the ponytail.
Step 10: Wrap it around the ponytail until it reaches the end and hold in place with a bobby pin. Spray on a small amount of hairspray.

5 MINTUE CURLS

5 MINTUE CURLS

  • Step 1: Begin with your hair in it’s natural texture. I like to put a bit of heat protectant in my hair before I begin as well.
  • Steps 2 and 3: Pull your hair back into a high ponytail. It doesn’t need to be perfect, just make sure there aren’t too many bumps and it is as high on your head as you can get it while still keeping it clean.
  • Step 4: Begin sectioning off your hair.
  • Step 5: Take the first section and begin curling. How many sections you do will depend on the thickness of your hair, but 3-6 sections should do the trick. I have pretty thick hair so I did 6 sections.
  • Step 6: Continue curling each section.
  • Step 7: Once all the sections are curled, spritz on a bit of hair spray to make sure you don’t lose the curls once you take the ponytail out.
  • Step 8: Shake out the curls at the scalp.
  • Step 9: Shape and part your hair how you want it.

BOHEMIAN HEADBAND BRAIDS

BOHEMIAN HEADBAND BRAIDS

Step 1: Begin with clean, dry hair in whatever texture you want it for the hairstyle. I kept my hair in its natural texture and to make the look more messy and bohemian I also teased it a bit.
Step 2: Take about a 3 inch section from the middle of one side of your head.
Steps 3 and 4: Braid the section that we just grabbed and secure with an elastic at the end.
Steps 5 and 6: Repeat the same process on the other side.
Steps 7 and 8: Place your index finger on the inside of the braid and pull it across your forehead to the other side. Placing your index finger here will help keep the braid flat and get rid of any ugly bumps that can occur when positioning braids.
Step 9: Secure the braid in place with a bobby pin.
Steps 10 and 11: Do the same thing with the braid on the other side.
Step 12: Adjust the braid to your liking and pin away any parts that seem out of place. Spray with a bit of hairspray.

BE WILD ! A FUN & FUNKY HAIRSTYLE

BE WILD ! A FUN & FUNKY HAIRSTYLE

Step 1: Begin with clean, dry hair parted the way you want it for the hairstyle.
Step 2: Section off the top two-thirds of your hair and begin with a one inch section of hair.
Steps 3 & 4: Curl this section of hair using a ½-1 inch curling wand or barrel.
Steps 5 & 6: Take the next 1 inch section and straighten this one.
Steps 7 & 8: Continue alternating between curling and straightening throughout the rest of your hair. If you lose track of which section you last curled, don’t worry about it. The more random and messy this hairstyle looks, the better! When you’re all done, brush out the ends to blend them together and spritz with a bit of hairspray.

BLOW IT OUT FOR THE WAVY HAIRED GIRL

BLOW IT OUT FOR THE WAVY HAIRED GIRL

Step 1: Begin with damp, freshly washed hair. You can apply a curl enhancing mousse at this point if you would like, but I chose not to.
Step 2: Begin sectioning off your hair, beginning with the bottom third section.
Step 3: Using a medium sized round brush, blow dry your hair as usual.
Steps 4, 5, & 6: Using a small round brush, brush a 1-2 inch section of hair out from underneath and begin wrapping it like a curling barrel once you reach the bottom.
Step 7: Using your blow dryer, blast some high heat on the “barrel”.
Step 8: Once the hair cools, carefully unroll and unwrap the hair from the round brush, being sure not to pull or tug on the hair too much.
Steps 9 & 10: Start doing the next section the exact same way.Continue with this pattern throughout the rest of your hair.
Step 11: Once you reach the crown of your hair, I like to blow dry the sections up and out to give a little extra volume.
Step 12: Shake out your hair with your fingers, spray a little hair spray.
